About Us

Choosing the right School for your daughter is one of the most challenging decisions you will make as a parent. Many of us here at Adcote are parents ourselves, so we completely understand that difficulty. Fortunately, support and understanding are at the heart of everything we offer at Adcote.

Adcote School was founded in 1907 by the pioneering Amy Gough, whose vision was to provide excellent Schooling for young women. Whilst our curriculum has changed, our values have not and it is still our absolute mission to provide a first class, progressive education for all the girls in our care.

We believe passionately in the advantages of educating girls in a single sex environment. Our outstanding staff are specialists in the way girls learn. We understand the challenges that modern women will face in their futures and our unique CLEAR learning programme equips them with all the skills they will need in order to thrive and be happy in the 21st Century.

Our small classes and warm, friendly environment mean that we know all our girls really well so that we can anticipate and address the individual challenges they will meet in their journey from being little girls to impressive young women. Such security means that girls flourish in our School.

Meet our SLT Team

Nicola Tribe - Headteacher

Welcome! My name is Nicola Tribe, and I am proud to serve as Headteacher of Adcote School. Over the past 10 wonderful years, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside this incredible community, advancing from Head of Sixth Form to Deputy Head, and now embracing the fantastic role of Headteacher. Having been a part of Adcote for a decade, I have a deep understanding of what makes our school unique and what our brilliant Adcote girls need to thrive.

With a background in structural engineering, I am passionate about fostering creativity and problem-solving skills that prepare our students for an exciting and dynamic future. Outside of school, I cherish time with my family and enjoy unwinding with hobbies like 3D model building and astronomy, both of which keep me inspired by the intricacies of design and the vastness of the universe. It’s a joy to bring this same sense of wonder and innovation to the vibrant life of Adcote School.
