The U10s played Ellesmere’s U11 team, but they also started the match sluggish and insisted on attacking down the left. This made Ellesmere’s life easy, allowing them to win the ball and apply pressure back on the Adcote defense. Again following a half time talk, the girls started to pass the ball towards the right side of the pitch and in doing so, Maddie Wright gained much ground. We had opportunities to attack the goal by Emilia Moxley and Poppy Livermore, however as the excitement of the possibility of scoring approached, we forgot to mark our players and very quickly we were at a 4-0 deficit. Poppy Livermore scored Adcote’s goal and Emilia Moxley was player of the match.
